Sodium Bicarbonate

Also known as Bicarbonate of Soda, Baking Soda and Bi-Carb.

Sodium Bicarbonate has many health and other uses. It is a raising agent for cooking, a great cleaning agent, can be used to treat sunburn, stomach aches to name but a few.

We use Sodium Bicarbonate in our toothpaste formula to help whiten the teeth. It also alkalises the mouth to neutralise the acids produced by some of the bacteria in the mouth and therefore helps to fight decay and cavities. Sodium Bicarbonate discourages the formation of plaque and gum disease and can help speed the healing process associated with mouth ulcers and other conditions.
